HEROtsc have prepared a detailed Business Continuity Plan (BCP) to provide a measured and controlled response to service impacting issues should they occur. The Programme is designed to ensure that where incidents occur, overall impact to service delivery is minimised.
In respect of the scenarios described within the BCP, a summary is as follows:
- HEROtsc’s Business Continuity Plan provides example scenarios for dealing with service impacts resulting from potential natural disasters, such as loss of telecoms, disruption to transport networks, and staff unavailability.
- HEROtsc’s Business Continuity Plan provides example scenarios for dealing with service impacts resulting from potential terrorist activity, including bomb threats, disruption to transport networks, and disruption to utility services such as telephony and power.
- HEROtsc do not incorporate social patterns of change within our Business Continuity Plan, but do incorporate reviews of social change factors within strategic business planning undertaken at board level to ensure that actual and anticipated social change is incorporated into future business strategies.
